May be its true that heavens sometimes come down.The picture will tell you the truth.The mist,the cool breeze,trees, vallies and mountains.Looking at it immediately a thought provoked "Why not settle down here" ,not in my mind but in the minds of god. Thats why these beautiful places are considered as heavens of earth. A really peaceful environment with very less population, mostly the tribals live here. A slow drive to the aruku town will tell you about the beauty of the nature.On the way there are lots of jack fruit trees and other fruits which u can pluck by yourself.Yes mother nature offers you them free of cost.There are hotels and should stay in the tourism hotel to enjoy the tribal dance ,you can also dance along with them and take snaps.A half day at gardens of araku, then you can start of to burra caves you can also find a railway station near by dont forget to say "Manasantha Nuvve" if you visit it.These caves have a special significance .they are formed b...

This is not title of a mass song from telugu movie ,Read the title again and continue reading,its been in history and to late till now most of the love stories in rural india start from the same field.Yes,I do remember few people shaking the bushes of gongura.Its a bushy tree and is available in two forms with red and green stem.Red ones are more sour.These are used in pickle and preparing tasty chicken/mutton curries. One should try the adavi gongura it can be identified with one having more veins in the leaves .A pickle made with this will always want you to have more and more ,again and again.Now as you have completely known of gongura lets kick of the most interesting part "The Love story". Last week i had a meeting at a hotel with one of my delegates .she's a foreigner.We have ordered lunch and waiting for the dish, meantime we were just discussing official errands.My delegate ordered a non indian dish and i as usual ordered a south indian andhra meal ...

Hmm,The title i have given is clearly not a song though is influenced by the same.Its all about our state bird "Pala Pitta".Very popularly known as indian roller else where in the world.Its seen in combination of blue and light brown colours.Though its beauty is appreciated by many ,not many like its vocals.The sound of this bird is as bad as that of a crow.The best time to see it in action is in the month of feb.It moves upwards ,downwards ,does few twists and turns and displays acrobatics.This act mainly helps in attracting the mates.It breeds in april, may months.This bird also shares the state title with other states too Bihar ,karnataka nad orissa.This bird is not a rare bird very frequently we can get a glimpse of it,you can find 50 of them in a sq km.So, just peep out from your window may be you can find one on a tree or on an electric wire. Finally i can say one thing that its a nice eligible cute looking bird to be a state bird.

The winter season is around the corner.To make things more hot and delicious there is only one thing that is amma avakay.Yes mother prepared avakayi.Open the container smell it , i am sure you will have water in your mouth and just indulge in it.Though not candy though not any sweet ,i am sure you will relish its taste very much.Ok now let me come to the point.The other day me along with my friend were dining at a restaurant,fortunately at andhra retaurant.Luckily we had this pickle in there and he tasted it.It was really good and the comment i got was "You andhrites are lucky to have one pickle like this.I love it very much".Frankly,the pickle at the restaurant was not that awesome but,i am sure he would start praising us entire day if i had given him a home made avakay. After thinking sometime and being flattered by his words and as a software professional ,i just had a single thought"why cant we patent it?" :).Hope we all will continue this traditional pickle for...

Ofcourse all andhrites are aware of the telugu thalli image posted but very few know the other things adorned on her .Poorna khumba is one such thing.Its a kalash kind of vessel which is seen in the hand of the telugu thalli decorated with mango leaves and flowers.Many do not know that its our official state symbol.Remember this, may be somebody will ask this one as a GK question.
